The Renu-Karoo nursery shop for indigenous plants, seeds, culinary and medicinal herbs opened on the corner of Kerk and Van Dyk Streets on 9th February 2011. The shop will be open from 9 am to 4 pm from Monday through Saturday as well as on Sunday mornings.

The opening was attended by many Prince Albert residents.

 

 

We stock a wide variety of indigenous plants.

 


Renu-Karoo Veld Restoration won the “Most Innovative Sector” of 2010 SMME Awards.


Sue and Richard Dean of Renu-Karoo received a Special Award from Cape Nature on 27th October 2010 for their contribution to biodiversity conservation within the Gouritz Biodiversity corridor. This was in acknowledgement for research on Karoo veld at the Tierberg Karoo Research Centre over the past 23 years, and for providing environmental education and advising government departments, landowners and the general public on aspects of Karoo biodiversity management.


The Rufford Small Grants Foundation has approved a RSG Booster grant towards Renu-Karoo for developing indigenous seed orchards and local skills to restore mining and grazing damage in arid Karoo rangeland.  Click here for more...
